My team and I approach projects large and small with a commitment to quality, integrity, attention to detail, and open communications.\u00a0 I work in New York City where I have restored brownstones, and developed residential and commercial properties. My colleagues and clients know me as a tenacious creative problem solver, proud of my ability to work with all kinds of people, and determined to get the job done on schedule.<\/p>\n<p align=\"\">My New York City projects include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete restoration of a Greenwich Village townhouse for Gwenyth Paltrow<\/li>\n<li>Complete gutting and restoration of a <a title=\"Townhouse\" href=\"https:\/\/howardchezar.com\/?page_id=28\">townhouse in Greenwich Village<\/a> featured in the <em>New York Times<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Complete gutting and restoration of a townhouse in Harlem<\/li>\n<li>Conversion of <a title=\"Tribeca Penthouse\" href=\"https:\/\/howardchezar.com\/?page_id=32\">10-story commercial building in Lower Manhattan<\/a> (Tribeca) to full-floor residential units, with the addition of a penthouse, and conversion of the ground floor to commercial retail space<\/li>\n<li>Construction of \u00a0Murray&#8217;s Cheese Shop in Grand Central Station<\/li>\n<li>Complete gutting and restoration of full-floor 4,000-sq-ft residential co-op<\/li>\n<li>Numerous individual apartment remodeling projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"\">My Berkshire projects include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conversion of an unoccupied <a title=\"Old Mill History\" href=\"https:\/\/howardchezar.com\/?page_id=271\">1737 grist mill<\/a> into a <a title=\"Old Mill\" href=\"https:\/\/howardchezar.com\/?page_id=27\">spectacular residential property<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Restoration of the Ashley Falls Dam and associated waterworks on the Konkapot River<\/li>\n<li>Construction of a dozen new homes<\/li>\n<li><a title=\"Remodel\" href=\"https:\/\/howardchezar.com\/?page_id=392\">Numerous additions, remodeling projects, and fine cabinetry<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"\">My specialties:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Logistically complicated construction projects<\/li>\n<li>Historic restoration<\/li>\n<li>Pre-purchase consultations for home buyers<\/li>\n<li>Finding smart solutions to remodeling challenges<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p align=\"\">My interests include cooking, rock and ice climbing, biking, and traveling.\u00a0I chaired the Egremont Conservation Commission for 8 years and am presently on the Sheffield Conservation Commission.
